Mayor

Five candidates are certified for mayor: Keith Demoe, Lisa Kearns, Marianne Meed Ward, Rory Nisan and Yugalkeesor Ramdhonee. Marianne Meed Ward is the current mayor. Lisa Kearns and Rory Nisan are the sitting councillors for Ward 2 and Ward 3, according to the City's council page.

Ward councillors

  • Ward 1: Kelvin Galbraith, Cheryl Hurst, James Kerr, Robert Radway.
  • Ward 2: Masha Brar, Sean Campbell, Gary Carr, Jeremy Gaetan.
  • Ward 3: Tony Brecknock, Mark Carr, Lisa Cooper, Kyle Hutton, Katy Moore.
  • Ward 4: Chris Carter, Olivia Duke.
  • Ward 5: Kristy Dickinson, Alex Don, Brian Machan, Paul Sharman.
  • Ward 6: Osob Adus, Angelo Bentivegna, Bianca Bielski, Chris Bouchard, Frank Domenic, Rowen Fraser, Edmond Jodhi.

Three sitting councillors are running again in their wards: Kelvin Galbraith in Ward 1, Paul Sharman in Ward 5 and Angelo Bentivegna in Ward 6. With Lisa Kearns and Rory Nisan running for mayor, and the current Ward 4 councillor, Shawna Stolte, not on the certified list, Wards 2, 3 and 4 will each elect someone other than their current councillor. The 2026 vote also uses new ward boundaries, with changes that affect Wards 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Each ward councillor elected sits on both Burlington City Council and Halton Regional Council, as does the mayor.

School board trustees

Voters choose trustees for one of four boards, depending on their school support. Four trustee posts have a single certified candidate, whom the City lists as acclaimed: Halton District School Board Wards 1 and 2 (Bika Diakoloukas), Halton District School Board Ward 5 (Amy Collard), Conseil scolaire Viamonde (Sonia Macaluso) and Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir (Diane Courchesne).

  • Halton District School Board, Wards 3 and 6: Sukhwinder Singh, Xin Yi Zhang.
  • Halton District School Board, Ward 4: Ryan Marlow, Dania Thurman, Ahmed Zaki.
  • Halton Catholic District School Board, Wards 1 and 2: Vincent Iantomasi, Allison McKenzie.
  • Halton Catholic District School Board, Wards 3 and 6: Bernice Carvalho, Roman Soler.
  • Halton Catholic District School Board, Wards 4 and 5: Bashar Haddaden, Katrina Vinka Kvenich, Tim O'Brien.
