Who do I call in Burlington?

Burlington Transit is 905-639-0550. The police non-emergency line is 905-825-4777; for an emergency, call 911.

The City of Burlington

How do I reach the City of Burlington?

Through Service Burlington, the City's customer contact centre: email city@burlington.ca, call 905-335-7777, or go to the main floor of City Hall, 426 Brant St. It is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, except statutory holidays and other City closures. City services can also be requested through the customer web portal on the Service Burlington page.

How do I report a pothole or a broken sidewalk?

Create a request with the service request tool on the Service Burlington page, choosing the issue type and describing it; staff follow up after you submit. You can also call 905-335-7777 or email city@burlington.ca. The City's road programs include pothole repairs, crack sealing, curb and gutter repairs and street sweeping.

How do I report a by-law problem?

Parking violations, animal concerns and site alteration or flooding from a neighbour's site alteration go to the City at 905-335-7777 or city@burlington.ca. For all other by-laws, including noise, property standards, lot maintenance and signs, call By-Law Enforcement at 905-335-7731 or email bylaw@burlington.ca, with your name, address and phone number.

Who do I contact about Burlington Transit?

Burlington Transit customer service: 905-639-0550 or contactbt@burlington.ca, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, closed holidays. Its counter is at the Burlington GO Station, 2101 Fairview St., in the same hours, for trip planning, free fare programs, PRESTO and SPLIT passes.

Halton Region

What is 311, and who answers it?

311 is a free, multilingual, non-emergency number for government services in Halton. Calls are answered by Access Halton, which Halton Region runs on behalf of the Regional and local municipal governments, the Halton Regional Police Service, the Halton District School Board and the Halton Catholic District School Board. From outside Halton, call 905-825-6000 or 1-866-442-5866.

What is the police non-emergency number?

Halton Regional Police Service's non-emergency number is 905-825-4777: for a crime that is not in progress with no immediate threat and no injuries, to make a report, or for police information. Some crimes, including theft under $5,000 and damage to property or vehicles, can be reported online. For an emergency, dial 911.
